What started as prom night became a lifetime. 10 years together, 5 long-distance, 1 wedding, endless love. We chose each other, always.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
Our love story started in high school as classmates junior year, then I transferred senior year. Halloween of 2014, we had a flirty convo that sparked everything. We stayed in touch, and by prom, we each asked the other to our school’s proms. We didn’t expect much since he was moving for school for college baseball, but we spent that summer together, did long distance, and have been together ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? After 3.5 months apart—he was away playing college baseball and I stayed in-state for school—we finally reunited. I had watched all his games online. When he came home, he planned the perfect date: a free art gallery, ice cream, and a beach walk. We were just two college kids in love, making the most of being together again.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d use it toward buying our first home. After getting married, we went straight to work and haven’t had a chance to slow down. A home, even a small one—would give us space to grow, find peace, and finally have a place to call ours. We dream of building a life with love at the center—and this would bring us one step closer.
