Our love story began in December ’95, sparked by words in a newspaper personals ad, old-school magic. Days later, the Blizzard of ’96 hit, but so did something stronger: connection. Snowed in by a storm, warmed by laughter and phone calls, singing old school gospel songs together and hanging out on the phone until we fell asleep. We were two strangers who became something more. We met before the snow fell, and never drifted apart.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?When we purchased our first home so we could expand our family. We had absolutely no furniture at the time but with prayer, faith in God and hard work, we were able to build our home and our family one prayer, on step at a time.
What would you do with $20,000?We are in the process of looking towards retirement and purchasing a new home to accommodate our changing needs as an aging couple. We would use the money to secure our new home in a senior community and will use some of it for ministry/charity. We both enjoy encouraging other couples so we could enjoy a getaway with some of the couples we mentor.
