Mateo and I met because my mom wanted me to learn scuba, but she also had a feeling we’d click and she was right. From day one, things just felt easy. We’re different in all the right ways and similar where it counts. He’s calm and grounded; I’m energetic and curious. Whether we’re underwater or just hanging out, we’re a team.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of my favorite memories as a couple is from the very beginning of our relationship. We went to watch the sunset together for the first time. it was peaceful, golden, and quietly perfect. But what made it truly unforgettable was seeing a sea turtle come ashore and lay her eggs right there on the beach. Now, every year on our anniversary, I think about those baby turtles, probably out in the ocean somewhere, growing and exploring 5 years later.
What would you do with $20,000?If we got $20,000, I think we’d put it toward our first home together. We’ve been saving up and are currently living with Mateo’s parents, so having that extra boost would mean a lot. It would bring us one step closer to creating a space that’s truly ours. I’m also in college studying psychology to become a psychiatrist, so stability and a place to call home would make a big difference as we both work toward our goals together.
