I was working as a part time manager at a clothing store, he was working as a fuel hauler. We each happened to work with half of a married couple, who tried for months to get us to meet each other because they thought we would be perfect together. We both kept insisting we didn’t want to be set up on a date, but finally we agreed to meet as friends. We met at our married friends house and it was truly love at first sight. From the moment we met, we clicked.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?It’s easy to say our proposal, our wedding or the day our child was born, but I feel like those don’t provide a deep look into our relationship. My true favorite memory is the day we found a duck under a bush in our backyard. It was a baby duck, still didn’t even have its feathers yet. We went around the whole neighborhood trying to find out who owned the duck. When we couldn’t find the owner, we decided to keep the duck ourselves. That day started our chicken farming journey!
What would you do with $20,000?We would take our dream honeymoon to Japan! Money was tight when we got married so we were never able to take a real honeymoon. In addition, with whatever we had left over we would spoil our son
