Connect How did your love story begin?

Gavin and Carson met in 7th grade and were fast friends. As the years passed, Carson and Gavin joined their high school art club, bonding over a shared love of art and all things dorky. The two were inseparable and could be found together at any moment. After a short breakup and some time apart, Gavin joined Carson’s A Capella choir during their senior year. After weeks of teaching him to read sheet music, Carson asked Gavin to the Sadie Hawkins Dance. The rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We went out to Eureka Springs to celebrate my (Carson’s) birthday in 2023. Gavin planned out an entire day, starting out with getting matching tattoos. We spent the day exploring the town, before heading to the Crescent Hotel for a ghost tour. We enjoyed dinner at the hotels pizza restaurant, after which we walked through the gardens on the hotel grounds. Gavin proposed that night, making a wonder trip even that more special. Two years later, Gavin and I were married at the same hotel in April.

What would you do with $20,000?

Our next steps in our relationship include planning our honeymoon and starting our very own little family. If we were lucky enough to win the funds, we would be able to fully complete and furnish our soon-to-be nursery room! Before our journey as parents begins, we are going to spend two weeks on a honeymoon traveling around Japan! One last hoorah before we really get settled down!
