We were both divorced and living in Florida—me from NY, him a Florida native. I re-downloaded Tinder just to show my roommate a message but swiped a few times and matched with him. Our first date lasted hours. His card was declined, but I didn’t care—we were having too much fun. He stayed over but accidentally slept in my roommate’s bed! Though our love story started with laughter, my favorite part came four years in—when my husband was miraculously delivered from addiction. I had fallen for him before I knew he struggled, but witnessing his complete transformation was like meeting him all over again. We once said we’d never marry again, but after his deliverance, we knew we had to. Saying “I do” was the best decision we ever made—and a promise sealed by God’s grace.

We’ve struggled financially since we met and never had a home of our own—until recently, when we were blessed with one. But it needs major restoration we can’t afford. With $20,000, we’d pay off debt, continue fixing up our dream home, start a garden, raise bees and chickens, build a fence so our dog can run freely, and most importantly, give back. So much was given to us in hard times—we’d love to give abundantly in return.
