In April 2020, during the pandemic lockdown, a single gal and a single guy matched online. Virtual chats led to long, deep phone calls, then creative, socially distanced dates - including a first date in a parking lot eating Wendy’s drive thru. With no rulebook for love in a pandemic, we learned how integrate our families and grow our connection into a hopeful, lasting love story born in uncertain times.

Getting married under an Eiffel Tower replica in downtown Indianapolis, IN, crafted by the Latinas Welders Guild for the US Swimming Olympic Trials in June 2024, captured the romance of Paris and honored the creative and resilient spirit that defines our relationship. Being surrounded by 100+ friends and family on short notice as we exchanged vows will forever be at the top of our favorite memories list.

Since our wedding happened with only 13 days’ notice, we didn’t get to go on a formal honeymoon, so that would be at the top of the list. We’ll have 2 kids in college simultaneously this fall and would love to assist them financially. Plus, now that our youngest will be heading off to college this year, we are officially empty nesters and would love to furnish our home with grown-up furniture 🤣 and complete projects to transform our house into a home.
