1985, our best friends set us up at a high school dance in AK. We attended rival schools. Bryan moved to California in 1987. I left for college in 1988. We kept in touch through letters. 1989, after two years without seeing each other, Bryan came to visit me for lunch, but we missed our lunch date due to my disconnected phone. That led to a misunderstanding—each of us thought the other had ended things. Over 35 years later, our same friends, who are married, reconnected us.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?In Sedona, AZ, after reconnecting, we finally shared "I love you" while hiking. We realized our feelings from decades ago were even stronger. We sorted out past misunderstandings and misconceptions, proving the importance of resolving issues. We paid the price of three lost decades apart, but now we're blessed to be where we belong—together.
What would you do with $20,000?Publishing a novel that I'm co-authoring with a well-known writer, to inspire those who've lost hope in finding their "one true love." I feel the need to share our story because everyone deserves their "someone." Love can enter your life at any age, often when you least expect it, and when the universe decides the timing is right. Keep believing—your perfect match may be just around the corner. 💖
