Connect How did your love story begin?

David was on a blind date with a friend of mine.She wanted me to “check” on them.I checked on them and when we were introduced,his date told me he played guitar and told him that I was a singer.We made small talk about music.The next week David came to my day job and I re-introduced myself. He began coming to my job at least once a week.On my last day at the day job,I told him he better ask me out if he planned to. I gave him my number and he called me that night.We went out the next day.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have had the very best love story.After our first 4 years, we moved from NY to SC. Our marriage was strained.We hit a breaking point and divorced.We shared custody of our son and got along better than before.In 1992 we re-married each other. In 1997 we had a baby girl. In 1998 we had another son. In 2004 we surprised ourselves with another girl! I’d say that all of the births and “firsts” have been the greatest times of our wonderful life. Two grand babies have been the icing on the cake.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would take the entire family (all twelve with granddaughters and our kid’s partners) on a real vacation. A trip that we couldn’t even dream of without the gift of a prize. We have been really fortunate, and we have always made for true family trips to close by beaches or a mountain getaway. Since all the kids have grown, those trips are rarely possible with schedules and budgets. The windfall of 20K would allow us to plan a family trip of all our dreams.
