We have been married for 51 years- 5 sons, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Still very much in love!

I walked into a boutique in Georgetown, DC where he worked, and he thought I was Persian and started speaking Farsi to me. I thought he was nuts! I told him I was Cuban-American and I spoke Spanish-not Farsi. We began dating and I proposed to him 3 months later. We got married 7 months later. Many friends didn’t think we would last due to culture differences- We actually had more similarities than they thought: respect, love of family, and love, trust and loyalty for each other.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory will always be the birth of each of our sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We are the patriarch and matriarch of our family. Our home is where everyone gathers for celebrations. The holidays are crazy and chaotic but we wouldn’t trade it for the world!
What would you do with $20,000?At 72 and 77, we would like to do a little traveling before we get much older! This would be an incredible honor if selected.
