Connect How did your love story begin?

My fiancé and I met during a backpacking trip on August 7th, 2020, and it was love at first sight. Out of everyone in our camping group, he was the only one who stayed up late to listen to music with me under the stars. That night, we formed an instant connection over shared stories and our favorite snacks. Two months later, I worked up the courage to ask him out, and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of the my favorite moments we’ve shared came just after we bought our first home together. Money was tight, and we couldn’t afford any extravagant gifts, but my fiancé still found a way to make it special. He handed me a wrapped box with a note on top that read, “To the start of forever.” Inside was the same drink we had shared when we first met. It made me feel completely known in that moment. We sat on the floor of our empty living room and just took it all in.

What would you do with $20,000?

If we were gifted $20,000, we would use it to bring our dream wedding to life in a way that truly reflects who we are as a couple. Our vision is a vibrant, love-filled weekend on a large property where our friends and family can celebrate with us under the stars, camp out, and create unforgettable memories together. We would use the funds to elevate the experience—live music, cozy bonfire lounges, and a great honeymoon.
