Rachel became ill with a rare neurological disease shortly before we got married. Our love has endured major challenges.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Corey's in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
It all started with a message from Mark on the dating app OkCupid. He struck up a conversation with Rachel about playing cornhole and it led to him asking her out on their first date. It truly was love at first sight. Mark could not wait to make Rachel his wife and proposed after just 2 1/2 months of dating.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Shortly after we became engaged, we took a trip to Bar Harbor, Maine. We were able to get in touch with an amazing photographer on the island and had our engagement pictures taken in Acadia National Park. The pictures turned out absolutely breathtaking and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Our family and friends back in Wisconsin loved them as much as we did!
What would you do with $20,000?Rachel was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease 5 years ago. At this time, there is no cure, and she has already undergone multiple brain surgeries. While our love is strong, our finances are not. Last year we had to file medical bankruptcy and Rachel lost her job due to her condition worsening. $20,000 would give us peace of mind that we can afford our living expenses while Rachel is focusing on her health.
