We met in college. Nate had met two of my (Laura’s) roommates at separate times and both roommates told me they met a guy they thought I would like. At first they didn’t know they were talking about the same guy. Then they ran into him at the coffee shop and realized they had both been talking about the same person, so they said that he had to meet me. We met up as a group at the coffee shop and as they say, the rest is history!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Probably when we first asked each other out on a first date. We had been hanging out and saw an on campus movie. It was Disney’s “Up”. Apparently we both started feeling something for each other watching that movie because after that we decided to go out. When Nate came to pick me up, he brought balloons like the house in up and I had made him a card that said “our relationship can only go ‘up’ from here”. We were both cheesy but it was cute we both thought of the movie to ask each other out.
What would you do with $20,000?We would definitely pay off some debts and probably go on a fun vacation with our two boys (8 and 3!)
