Jason and I met in 2004 and were both theater majors in college. We were frequently in the same social circles, and he even dated one of my roommates… In 2006 as I approach graduation, he and I became closer and closer spending a lot of time together both in and out of our college theater. He became one of my best friends and even though we agreed it was a bad idea to pursue each other since I was graduating, it was unavoidable. It became clear to us that it was meant to be!

One of my favorite memories to share of us as a couple is when we decided to go to nursing school together. We were already married and had good jobs, but felt led to serve people. We applied for school, and upon acceptance, quit our jobs and move to a small town in Texas where we took jobs at the local hospital making $10 an hour. Our first day we introduced ourselves to the class full of 20 somethings as husband and wife— NOT brother and sister, as some had assumed! It was a huge adventure!!

We now have three children who are very active and love to play. Our backyard, however large, leaves much to be desired as there is not really anything in it! If we won $20,000 we would most certainly use it to make over our backyard into a family space for all to enjoy!
