Reaching goals & building a homestead with the man of my dreams
We would like to thank you for supporting The Cobons in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met at prom in high school (he was a senior, I was a junior). We had both gone with friends. I later learned we had been in the same study hall class all semester, he just never attended because he was busy snowboarding. Friends of ours wanted to go on a date a couple weeks after prom, we were the plus ones. 11 years later, we own a home, 9 chicken, a dog, and multiple bee hives.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have gone to some amazing places, we have seen each other accomplish some pretty incredible things, but my favorite memories together are eating breakfast in the garden early in the morning.
What would you do with $20,000?We would pay off a lot of debt. I became a Registered Nurse the same time he opened his martial arts business. It would be amazing to put the money towards some of the debt that was required for us to get where we are today.
