Our story begins when he was a police officer in Louisiana and I was working at a casino. He saw me at a volleyball league game and knew that he was going to make me his wife. Since then we have moved to Texas to pursue more rewarding careers. Although he loved law enforcement and I loved my family and home state, we both knew that a move would better not only our lives but our children’s lives. I pushed for him to follow a career in Human Resources and he landed a great opportunity in Texas.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory would be our wedding day. We shared our love with over 300 family members, were married by my two uncles and his grandfather was able to attend and get his favorite meal, fried chicken. I still remember that my family gave him a plate before everyone else and that’s one thing I love about my family. We respect our elders and treat new family like they’ve been here all along.
What would you do with $20,000?I would take a portion for a special trip with my husband and use the rest to make some home updates that we desperately have been wanting to do. Anything left would be saved in an account for our children.
