Connect How did your love story begin?

I was 18 and he was 21. I was going through a super rough patch of life and had just started college. Wasn’t looking for any new relationships. He’d noticed me in class and asked around for my name, then requested me as a friend on MySpace. I thought he was a stalker, and denied it…He tried AGAIN! The next time I went to class, he introduced himself. I added him and he invited me over. I went. We talked for hours - mostly about music - and he played guitar and sang to me. The rest is history!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

After years of infertility, we’d decided whatever happened, happened. I told him if all I ever could be was a wife, it was okay, because he made me so happy. Days later, the migraines started. Upon my mom’s urging, I reluctantly bought a pregnancy test …It was positive! He was working late at a trailer mfg plant. I called, said I had an emergency. He met me at the gate and I pulled out the test. We stood there in the freezing cold, hugging so tightly, and cried together. It was so beautiful.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would finally go on our honeymoon! When we got married, we had almost nothing. Bills came first, and life…life’d. We would go on our honeymoon, take our kiddo to Universal Studios, and put the rest in savings.
