How did your love story begin?

We met our sophomore year of high school in history class. But we barely spoke. The next year, we were in the same psychology class. He’d asked me for a date, but I told him I was seeing someone. I found out that “someone” was with another girl on my birthday. I called my now husband and asked if he still wanted that date. After that, we sat together in class every day. We became inseparable. He is my best friend.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Just one? 22 years together, it’s impossible to just choose one. Our first kiss was spontaneous and we still joke about how I caught him off guard. I made him wait til our wedding night (6 years after our first date) and I asked if we could “just talk” for a minute. He just said “of course”. He calls me beautiful, especially after our son was born and I didn’t feel like it. We support and choose each other, even on hard days. And we always will. Meant to be together. Always and forever.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have built a beautiful home and family. However, we are out of district for my son’s school. We pay a tuition and he’s grandfathered in to the program, but with the recent influx of students, they are discuss not accepting any future out of district kids. Which means we will have to move or our daughter will have to go to a different school. This would be a good down payment on an in district home.
