We originally dated in high-school. In our mid-20s we made a bargain to get married if still single at 30. Now married with 2 kids.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Carrs in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
When I was 16 I was trying to write a story and would save my progress on a floppy disc. One day during class I was working on my story and the floppy wouldn’t release from the computer. In a panic I was trying to get anyone who felt they could help me to get it out. My now husband stepped up and got it out. I remember saying to him with great relief, “I could hug you”. His response was, “Well, why don’t you then.”
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I have several, but one of my favorites is when he began our relationship again by texting me “I’m coming to get my bride” the week before he turned 30. He was jokingly reminding me of our agreement to get married should we both be single at 30. I was already 30 so the fact that he remembered surprised me and it’s what really kick started our dating and then getting married.
What would you do with $20,000?Neither of us ever thought we would get married so we didn’t plan for a marriage. As a result we find ourselves unable to pay off debt and buy our own home. We currently live with family and have quite a bit of personal debt, so it would be used to help us move forward with our finances.
