We both grew up in the same town with no idea, became friends in college but graduated and went our separate ways, to reconnect 4 years later in 2019. We did long distance for 9 months until I moved to his city, coincidentally as COVID began. We did lock down together and as the city opened back up we made so many memories surrounded by family and friends that we continue to watch grow and evolve everyday.

It’s hard to choose, but the most special moment would be Peter planning a surprise proposal in our favorite camping and hiking spot and secretly getting all of our friends to meet us at the campsite to celebrate. We had only picked out the ring a month before this, so I had no idea any of it was going to happen so quickly and thought it was a regular camping trip, so to see the thought and planning he put in right away was so meaningful. Having our closest friends there brought the love.

We just bought our first home and adopted a puppy to add to our fur family (she was found in the forest we got engaged in) and are also trying to have a baby. So to say that $20,000 would help make our dream home for a new family come true is an understatement!! We’d also want to take a special trip for our upcoming first anniversary in October, which will hopefully double as a babymoon!
