Connect How did your love story begin?

We met online before it was really a thing. Not a dating app but on downelink.com. It was like a gay Facebook. But she liked my skydiving profile picture, so I offered to take her one day. She thought that was creepy. Lol. But we talked for a couple weeks, then met in person. Then in true lesbian fashion, we were together by the end of the month. A couple months later, I took her skydiving for her birthday. 14 years later she still thinks Im creepy but she loves me.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I know it's cliché but it's our wedding. We both grew up kinda poor so we never really imagined having a wedding growing up. So when we got engaged and started planning, we were excited but nervous. Because we would be paying for it ourselves. And we knew we wanted a nice wedding. So we worked really hard. When the day came, it was amazing! All of our hardwork had paid off. It was truly the wedding of our dreams

What would you do with $20,000?

My wife decided to go back to school after 20 years. In her 1st semester, she earned a 4.0, while she held down a full-time job. But in the fall of 2026, she will start the program at her school, which is full-time, so she wont be able to work. This would help so much with keeping up with all of our bills. So she doesn't have to worry or stress while in school. Plus I'm a bartender and the restaurant business is hurting right now in this economy.
