In June 2022, my family met Ben’s family during a medical mission trip to Kenya. The match making began, & Ben & I started emailing, then texting & FaceTiming. A month later, he flew out to meet me. Over time, our bond grew through visits and shared moments. During a ski trip in Jan 2023, we became official. After saying “I love you” that fall, Ben proposed during a hike in Nov. ‘23. It’s not always been easy, but love won, & on Feb 2025 we got married! Living a life now full of joy & love.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory would have to be our trip to beautiful northern Michigan. We shared magical moments on whimsical Mackinac Island, and then later spent a beautiful beach walk on Lake Michigan during the sunset. That trip was a turning point in our relationship. It was then we knew we were falling in love with eachother.
What would you do with $20,000?We recently got married (Feb. 15, 2025!), and about a month and a half after we got married, we bought a new house. We love our house, but it is in need of projects. We would put the money towards having our backyard finished and landscaped along with finishing our basement. With these additions we are hoping to have many memories of hosting more people and enjoying the outdoors in our new backyard! Winning this contest would help us immensely.
