Connect How did your love story begin?

The story begins with an ending. She was getting divorced and as her friend whom had just came out of an abusive marriage I asked her to dinner to help her through the process and talk. Although no sparks flew during dinner, it did seem to create a closer comfort level with each other. 10 months later after she had moved 300 miles away,I happen to be in town for work and asked her if she wanted to get together and catch up. The night was amazing two friends getting closer and talking for hours.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our first kiss is a great story but how we got married is one of our favorites. It was Mother’s Day and after our plans got changed because of her ex and exchanging their daughter she and her family traveled to my house to celebrate. As our family shared a meal, I looked over to her. She smiled and said “I want to marry you,” to which I said, “Let’s do it.” Her father being a minister, we just went down to the docks near the house and got married in the rain with all of our family present.

What would you do with $20,000?

After taxes and a couple of bills, we would really love to use the money to go on a honeymoon. Christina has always wanted to go to Japan and I, loving to travel, thought that there is no better place to celebrate the love we found and fulfill one of my wife’s dreams.
