Life isn’t always easy but we are resilient and every setback makes us grow closer and work harder. We were made for each other.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Britfords in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met during our freshman year of high school. However, we didn’t become an official couple until our junior year. After graduation, we found out we were pregnant. The baby was born in 2002 but we broke up in 2003. We lived separate lives for 10 years and reunited in 2013. We had another baby that year and tied the knot in 2015. We will celebrate 10 years of marriage in July.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We always talk about the odd jobs we had when we were younger. We tried to sell Kirby vacuum cleaners when we were 19. We lasted half the day. We ate the pizza they gave us and then we left expeditiously. We also joke about delivering newspapers when we were trying out different careers in our early 30s.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use some of it to take a nice family trip that includes our 3 girls, our 3 grandkids, and our son-in-law. We would also use some to pay down debt and elevate our credit scores. At least a $5000 would go in to savings for a “rainy day.”
