He just turned 17, I was 15. We met at a skate rink. My group of friends and I all thought he was the hottest guy there. We all flirted with him. He asked me to slow skate and I was shocked. He held my hand and we started dating that very night. When it was time to go, he wouldn't let me with out a kiss. I've never done that before and was nervous. He played cool so I quickly gave him a peck, and took off running to the car! It was all giggles and teenage screaming. I couldn't believe it.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We've been together for 24 years so it's very hard to pick. My first thought was when our son was born. It was just us in the room and Waylon was holding Jacob in his arms. In that moment, I felt my love grow to this strange, unknown level. I was so shocked by how I was feeling that I mentioned it and he said he knew exactly what I ment because he felt it too. It was like we linked simultaneously and that was a crazy but amazing feeling. 24 years later, I still feel it. I believe in soul mates.
What would you do with $20,000?I have a few ideas. I'd love to fix up my back yard with a patio seating area and outdoor kitchen for Waylon. He cooks more outside than in. I would also use it to help pay our sons college fees if he is selected into their special education program. He dreams of becoming an actor and being on Broadway.
