His favorite story to tell, how I saved his life. About 10 years ago we met in the Army. I was a free spirit but my husband was in a very dark place as he just came back from multiple deployments and was severely depressed and alone. Before I knew I loved him, more than anything I wanted him to feel life and light again. I was persistent on being a friend. One night, he tried to end his life. I held onto him all night. Words didn't need to be spoken, but we felt loved and safe in our arms.

First time we took a trip to Disney world together. Growing up I went to Disney a lot, but I moved for college and the military. My husband knew my love for Disney. Even though it was his first time in Florida, he managed to pull off a proposal right in front of the Disney castle. He says it felt like forever and I always say it happened so fast. But either way it was the most magical moment for both of us. I said yes and everyone around cheered. He's usually bad at surprises but I had no idea!

We would pay off any debt and help out our families that all live so far away. But also anyone that knows us, knows how much we advocate for mental health and people with disabilities. So we would donate some of it to help out the organizations we support so much like NAMI, LAMN and the WWP.
