Connect How did your love story begin?

We knew each other back in high-school, we went to the same Youth Group. However, myself being a freshman and him a senior, we really had nothing else to talk about back then. We were reintroduced via Bumble 15 years later, and to be honest, I almost didn’t swipe right; I remembered him being a big loud jock-type, always joking around. Here I'm trying to learn about Jesus, and this guy can't stop goofing off! Luckily, I read enough "finding love" books so I took and chance and I'm so glad I did!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My husband had to take an emergent flight to Utah to see his ailing grandpa. I couldn't go because I had drill with the Army Reserve. It turned out that his grandpa wasnt going to last much longer so I got early dismissal & drove 18 hours to Utah. His family had devised a plan to get me in a dress so he could propose. We went back to tell his grandpa, who was delighted. Due to his medication, we had to tell him again the next day, and he was equally as excited as when we told him the first time.

What would you do with $20,000?

Keller and I live a humble, modest lifestyle in a dated home. $20,000 would really help us to improve our home to ensure the health and well-being of our family. I was initially dreaming of replacing 20 year old carpet before we have our first baby, but I just found out we also need a new roof! The winnings would be a tremendous blessing.
