We met on a dating app, and we experienced that cliché “love at first sight”. We both felt something the moment we laid eyes on each other and knew we were meant to be in each others lives in a big way, and we've been together since. Sadly at the same time we were falling in love, Josh was battling addiction. So the first year of our relationship was pretty rough, but we stuck it out and Josh completely turned his life around and did a 180 and got sober! We’re both healthy and happier than ever.

It might sound cheesy but honestly I think it was getting married! We both knew we had what it took to make a marriage work because we’re both so dedicated to self improvement and to the health of our relationship. We put a lot of work in to going to marriage classes and reading. So finally getting to make that promise to one another was such a long time coming and we both so worked so hard to make it there, that when we finally did it it was such a sign of all we had overcome.

Oh man we have so many big dreams together it would be hard to choose! I think some of it would go towards a much needed vacation. Josh is an arborist and Heather is a self employed birth doula, so it’s hard to get away. The rest might go towards a car or a down payment for a home. It would definitely change our lives for the better and we would be so blessed and grateful.
