We met at a mutual friend's New Year's Eve party. It was a friendly meeting. I thought she was beautiful, but played it cool. Months later, we found ourselves with said mutual friend again. Just a chill by the pool day. We talked about dating and how she always felt like a date came with obligations. I said I'd take her out with no obligations. And we began dating. It was a slow and steady process for me. From a date a month, to a date a week. That next New Year's Eve, we were in love.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I already had the ring in my top drawer when she told me she was pregnant. Which meant I had to wait to ask her. We had a trip planned to Sayulita, Mexico. She told me it was a special place to her and she wanted to take me for my birthday. So that was the best time for the surprise. We had a wonderful trip, but you should've seen the look on her face when I asked her to marry me at my birthday dinner. The best birthday gift I've ever received.
What would you do with $20,000?Travel. Take our children to see a different place in the world. We'd like them to be well rounded individuals and get to see the things we didn't get to as children. We'd pay off some debt of course. And we'd put some money away for our children so they could have the safety net we never had.
