How did your love story begin?

Our story began in the 7th grade chorus as we disrupted class and annoyed the teacher. Soon, we were separated by 1500 miles, only to find each other again several years later. We dated in our 20's and neither of us can remember why we split up. Life's challenges and struggles kept us apart, but we never stopped thinking about each other. In the summer of 2024, we reconnected once again. One ride on Pete's Harley was the beginning of our adventure together, renewing our perpetual love and bond.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have a couple of favorite memories. Decades ago, we took a trip to Toronto in Pete's sky blue C3 Corvette for Pete's birthday. We went to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner and we barely had enough money to pay the bill. So, we ran out without leaving a tip. We felt really bad, but we were young and in love. Fast forward, our other favorite memory was at a family wedding white out dinner cruise at sunset. We had just gotten engaged and the dolphins joined us near the bow in celebration.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would finish renovating Pete's tiny cabin near Letchworth State Park, the Grand Canyon of the East, with a portion of the $20,000. Specifically, the cabin needs a new floor and winterization. Pete has many health issues, although he doesn't look or act like it, and we would like to live life to its fullest. So, any remaining funds would be used to buy an RV to travel to National Parks across the country. Lauren plans to write a travelogue about their adventures to inspire others.
