Connect How did your love story begin?

In May 2013, one of my friends suggested his former classmate to take my photos for my 18th birthday invitations. One glance at Mikee's photography on Tumblr and I was immediately smitten by his looks and mutual love for Disneyland! We set up a day to shoot at the parks, but little did we know that the photoshoot was more than just business. After the shoot, I was ready to pay Mikee for his service, but instead he only asked for gas money and another day at Disney as a date. The rest was history

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory as a couple was visiting Mikee's father at the cemetery the day after our wedding day in 2021. Throughout the 9 years of dating at that time, I was never one to cry when visiting the cemetery. But that day we visited his dad right after our wedding made me sob without any words. I felt moved by his spirit, like he was telling me how proud he was of how far we've come and that we were in good hands. In that moment, I knew our foundation was stronger than we could have imagined.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would love to give back to our moms who have sacrificed so much for us throughout our relationship. They are the first examples of unconditional love that we learned from and they deserve the world for supporting us. We also want to invest in fertility options, as conceiving has been difficult for us in the past couple of years. We hope that with this money, we can explore all the options available for us to grow our family.
