Connect How did your love story begin?

Genesis and I met at 15 years old at the set of our high school musical performance, “Shrek the Musical.” After long conversations and banter about what our favorite flightless bird species is, we knew we were the one for each other. We may be young but we’ve been through many unique hardships that tested our love to defy all odds such as navigating difficult health conditions, growing through each phase of life together, and many more bumps in the road and we stuck through it all!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory as a couple is when we got married, Genesis and I got married on 06/01/2025. For most people when they are 15 years old and discussing with their high school boyfriend/girlfriend about getting married, it usually never makes it that far. After we got married and we were on our way to our reception, the moment we got to finally sit down and let it all sink in was the best feeling ever. we couldn’t believe the same naive kids that we once were, were finally Mr. And Mrs. Acevedo

What would you do with $20,000?

Genesis is about to start her doctoral program for occupational therapy, so she won’t be able to work and I will be working for the both of us. We will also be moving to San Antonio, TX and I’ll have to find a new job, so the money would help us get on our feet. Genesis also hydroplaned a few days before our wedding, and we didn’t have the funds to get her car fixed, so it would be nice to get that done. We want to also invest in our future by putting the rest in savings for our future home/kids
