We met in the winter of 2022 while we were both working as park rangers in Death Valley National Park. He was permanent, she was seasonal. We’ve been doing long distance ever since, and now he’s still in California and she’s in Maine.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of our favorite memories was backpacking to a ranger cabin in Denali National Park. She was a backcountry ranger there, and he was visiting from Death Valley. We crossed rivers and climbed mountains to get to this cabin, and finally made it by nightfall. We fired up the wood burning stove and watched “10 Things I Hate About You,” naturally.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d visit each other a whole lot more! It gets expensive to fly across the country multiple times a year, but we do it because we love each other.
