We met in high school through the church choir and were close friends, not just with each other, but also with our siblings. Over the years, we dated other people and always seemed to miss the connection as more than just friends. Kayla even helped pass notes to his girlfriend at the time! We remained in each other's lives, secretly crushing on each other here and there. We finally reconnected after a bad breakup, thanks to a mutual friend telling Jeremy to ‘just call her.’ The rest…is history!

When we first started dating, we were invited by friends in 2010 to the Daytona Rolex Race, where you camp in the infield while a 24-hour non-stop race takes place. It was incredibly loud and poured rain the whole weekend; we slept in the back of a vehicle, and we only brought one pillow to share between us. 15 years later, and we have never missed a race weekend since! We tent-camp on 'The Island', watch fireworks on the top of a friend's camper, walk on and sign the track, and so much more.

Jeremy has a Dodge Dakota that has been in non-working condition for way too long. It is one of his most prized possessions, and we would love to have it running again. We would often go mudding on Sundays after church, or stargazing at night, and fell in love with just being together outside, and having a good time. While it has undergone some work over the years, a portion of this money would ensure that we find the right connection to a local shop that does honest work and can get DAK back!
