Connect How did your love story begin?

Connor has always been the entertaining one in any room, making others chuckle & smile. I was from a professional family, where fun was not as revered as serious studies. Our tension turned into curiosity; curiosity into a crush. Best friends, which grew into lifelong love. We felt at home with one another. Despite going to colleges 7 hours away, Connor would drive through the night just for a few minutes together. Long distance love & patience. Married at 24, & still holding hands at 45.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

So many moments together, of highs & lows that define us. Desperate calls to hear his voice during deployment, saying “I do” despite doubts of our family differences, bringing life into the world together x 4, or medical emergencies for us being saved by the grace of God. My favorite memory is just “us.” It’s what we have weathered & have still said yes to one another. Being worlds away, being side be side, being unified despite our own differences, and choosing to love, as we grow & change.

What would you do with $20,000?

We manage rental houses and have invested in creative ways. I would love to be debt-free and operate in freedom to teach our kids how to manage many well. We would love to start an improv class to teach others how to laugh through their own challenges and growth. We want to be generous with our finances towards others to have the chances we have had.
