Alexa and I fell in love the moment we met, not love at first sight but love at first touch. When our hands touched upon meeting, we both felt a surge of energy rush through our hand directly to our hearts. We have been inseparable since... well sort of. We know that marriage takes conscious effort.

For me it is not so much a single grand memory that we share, but the little things that make our love grow daily. We take 15 to 20 minutes after we both get home to check in. We go to our room and close the door and talk about our day, or joke around and flirt for a bit. On hard days we take that time to hold each other, I prefer to be the little spoon. After we get to work on dinner and helping the kids with homework. So, I suppose every day is my favorite memory of us.

Alexa and I got married at a courthouse in a town outside of Fort Riley where I was stationed in the Army. Shortly after, I was deployed to Afghanistan. Alexa stayed home and finished her education, while pregnant. By the time I got home we had a 4-month-old and life got moving. Fast forward to now, and we never got to celebrate our love properly. All that to say, the $20,000 would be used to properly celebrate our love and life up until now, and student loans.
