People say we are infectious. The joy we share radiates to all around us. We are often approached by stranges who state they had to meet us.
You decide who wins $20,000 and appears in Variety magazine as America’s Favorite Couple
We met in 1985 through mutual friends. There was definitely a spark between us, but we were both in love with other people, so we just shared a special kind of friendship. We could talk to one another about anything. At parties, we were each other's "safe" place. Shortly after, the girl he loved broke his heart and I married the guy I had dated for 4 years. We were married 37 years before he passed away.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? The moment I knew that he was in love with me. We were at the lakeside campground where he has a place. There was a group of young people who introduced themselves. They said they hoped to have what we have one day. As I was teaching one of the girls a dance, I felt him watching and I knew at that very second that he had fallen in love with me. I was truly a magical moment
What would you do with $20,000?We both have loved and lost, although in different ways. We cherish our families, because we know that we are not promised tomorrow. We would love to add on to his place at the lake so that would have space for all of our grandkids to stay with us and create memories that they will always carry with them. Even after we are gone.
