Connect How did your love story begin?

Picture it- Charleston, 2022! I met Mason organically while I was a grad student and he was a cadet at the Citadel. I waited for what felt like an eternity for him to follow me on Instagram. After about a week, I got tired of waiting and decided to take matters into my own hands. I sent him a follow request and he followed me back. I thought for sure he would slide into my DMs after, but a week later I was sliding into his DMs “suggesting” that we hang out. We’ve been hanging out ever since!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Mason loves to cook and wanted to cook for me for the first time, hoping that it would impress me. He was nervous and accidentally grabbed a pan that was still in the oven without an oven mitt. I didn’t mean to, but I laughed even though I knew that he had to be in pain. He on the other hand, did NOT think it was very funny. He ended up having to go to the ER and the burn on his hand was 2nd degree. We BOTH laugh about it now and made sure to put extra oven mitts on our wedding registry.

What would you do with $20,000?

We are newlyweds, so $20,000 would help us start our lives together. We are hoping to put this money toward a down payment on a house. It would help us out immensely and we would greatly appreciate it!
