Connect How did your love story begin?

April 8, 1993, Boston, I saw him in a club. He was with another guy. I made my move when I saw him walk to the bar alone and I got right behind him and pushed him. Yes, like a cave man. He turned, was irritated and we talked until he told me he was on a date. He disappeared for a little bit, came back into the bar and told me he sent his date home. We exchanged numbers and the journey began.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our dog, Little Ricky (Japanese Chin) was completely paralyzed after a routine procedure to fix a herniated disc. We took him home with the understanding we would never give up on him. For 4 months, he went, three times a week, for dog therapy, water treadmill, laser trmt., acupuncture. In the fifth month, he slowly stood up and ultimately made a full recovery. That was the most magical day we both have ever experienced together.

What would you do with $20,000?

Elix and I are blessed in so many ways. We would use the money to assist us in helping more people in our businesses. Elix, a life coach, takes on young entrepreneurs, pro bono, and coaches them. He also volunteers his time to coach young film makers, via Sundance Film Festival (he's on his 4th person). As a medium and attorney, I give back on both fronts. Reaching more parents that have sick children (who are dying) and grieving individuals that have lost loved ones and are struggling.
