Our love story started at a chance meeting at a red light. The timing was perfect! Had it been green, we would not have met. Had it been yellow, chances are we would not have had the time to lock eyes and smile and have that instant attraction. His first words to me were “you’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen, where are you going? I could have said Tiffanies or to have a glass of wine by the beach. But noooo, I said “I’m going to Walmart”. His response was “Well so am I”. 😂

One of our favorite memories is being on a cruise ship and developing fabulous friendships with many people of all ages. We decided to do the tourist thing at one of the ports. We are having a little too much fun when we looked at the time and realized we need to hit the ground running. It was a long stretch and we had to run fast. Friends and cruise personnel were yelling “run…run” the second horn sounded just as we jumped on board and they raised the deck. We were so relieved.

I have been an advocate for bringing awareness for acquired & traumatic brain injuries for over 26 years. With the money that we win, I’d love to help those who struggle with disabilities. These health challenges make it so difficult for people that have mental health challenges or that are non-verbal, those with autism, etc. to find jobs and keep them. I would love to help these individuals get training in an area of study they are passionate about and make a living doing what they love.
