We were both on the rebound. Steve was coming out of a 54 day marriage to some gold digger. He was living on his sailboat and the harbor master came by one day and told him he couldn’t live aboard. I was a property manager and he came in looking for an apartment. We’ve been together since that day we met in October of 1998. There’s really interesting story of how I knew I was going to meet my soulmate. You don’t have enough room for me to expand.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We were driving from Florida to Mississippi to do a little gambling. We stopped to gas up and go to the restroom. While he was gassing the truck I went in and on my way out I picked up a card to give to him. He goes in to the restroom and on his way out he picks up a card. He gets in the truck and I told him I knew he was going to do that. He said did you get a card too? I said of course I did! We both got the same card for each other! I don’t think that could ever happen again in a lifetime.
What would you do with $20,000?We never had a real honeymoon because we had to take care of his mother who had MS and was wheelchair dependent and her husband had just died the week of our wedding.
