Steve and I had a class together sophomore year. During a fire drill, he was talking to the only other person im the class I knew. I thought, "I can get an introduction". He met my eye and walked away. Fast forward 3 years. We cross paths again. This time he pursues me even though I don't want a relationship. We are "just friends " until I realize I falling for him a few months later. I tild him I might be falling for him, he told me he'd loved me for a while and was waiting until I was ready
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?My favorite memories are probably surprising. Not the vacations or birth of our children or the typical favorite memories. My favorite memories are how we held each other up in our toughest times. The years following job layoff were really tough. We were broke even though we were working multiple jobs, the roof sprung a leak and 2 kids needed tonsils out. We leaned into one another and supported each other through it.
What would you do with $20,000?I think we would probably get new siding on our house, help our daughters get their adult lives started by helping pay down their college loans, or some combination of practical choices. But I also dream of a trip to British Isles.
