Connect How did your love story begin?

Where do I even begin?! I used to work for his sister, and let’s just say—he had his eyes on me, and I definitely noticed him too. His smile and our conversations were unforgettable. But on December 23rd, I went on the worst date ever and felt totally discouraged about dating. That same night, I went back to my boss’s house—who’s now my sister-in-law—and Steve happened to be there. We clicked instantly and never left each other’s side. It was truly love at second sight!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My husband works so much that it’s hard for him to be involved in everything, but if I had to pick one powerful memory—it’s this one. I was at my preschool praying about my business when I felt God nudge me to call doctors. I started calling around randomly and ended up calling a heart doctor because my husband had been having shortness of breath. We got an appointment that same week—and found out he was just 3 days away from having a stroke. He says I saved his life, but it was all God.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’ve never had a real wedding—we got married in the home we’re now purchasing, so this would be our chance to finally celebrate with a wedding! We live debt-free as much as possible and I call us the modern-day Brady Bunch—he has two girls, I have two boys. If we won, we’d invest in our kids, pay off a little debt, and finish paying off our home, which we’re in the final years of owning outright. It would truly be a blessing for our blended family!
