Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story began when I met him at 14 years old, and said "I'm gonna marry that boy". My mother would not let me date until I was 15, and he had to come over for dinner so my parents could "meet" him and see if he was appropriate for their daughter. He did come over for dinner and we've been together ever since. We started officially dating when I was 15, and I was 19 when we married, he was 20. Our love story began in Highschool, seeing each other at school everyday.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I don't know that we have a favorite memory as just a couple. We have been parents for most of our married journey. As just a couple, we attended "A weekend to remember" and that was great for us! If it hadn't been for the things learned at that retreat, we may not be here now. Our favorite memories are by far the memories we have made with our children! Having first experiences all together. Moving across country, and spending time in Big Bear, CA. We love being able to make each other laugh!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would most definitely use it for a family trip! We love to travel, although we don't have too much experience, we do what we can. We have never taken a cruise, maybe a family cruise! We would just love the chance to share our "story" it's not about the money. Especially these days, people, young people need to know it isn't always rainbows and butterflies, it's waking up everyday to choose to love and serve, even when you don't really want to. lol
