Connect How did your love story begin?

We first met in the 4th grade and secretly harbored crushes on one another as we sat next to each other in 7th grade history class. After going to different high schools and colleges, we reconnected near the end of undergrad and have been inseparable since. Tobyn even picked up and moved to be with me when I went to grad school, and remains my biggest fan and supporter. We enjoy a quiet life with our two cats, plenty of good food, and a shared love for history and music.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We don't necessarily have a favorite memory together. Tobyn is my best friend and I'm his, so the life we share is memorable in that way. My personal favorites include when we walked the National Mall together at night in DC or when we sang Elton John's "Don't Go Breakin My Heart" at karaoke when out with friends since Tobyn had never sung karaoke together. His would probably also include DC but some of our best memories are simply shaded together over a good meal or a good movie.

What would you do with $20,000?

As a young couple getting married next Fall, we're still renters and it would be amazing to put a down payment on a house so we can officially start our lives together. Because we're located in Ohio, $20,000 would significantly impact our ability to buy a house.
