Early 2020 we matched on a dating app, (as one does in the midst of an oncoming pandemic, lol). Stephanie was quarantined in Sebring & I was living in Fort Lauderdale. We intentionally wanted to build a friendship since we were both looking for community at the time. We met in person for the first time mid-2021 & once together, our feelings were inevitable. We started dating & it all progressed so naturally. We decided to elope a year later & have been happily married for 3 years now!

Aug. 16, 2021. We started our sunny day at Hollywood Beach where we surprisingly got so many sweet compliments from strangers. So many people went out of their way to stop & say how they loved our energy or that we were a beautiful couple. At night we went to the Drive-in theater, but barely watched the movie because we were just talking & laughing all night. There was a sense of safety & ease; everything just felt right. It was the first time we said we were in love with each other.

Winning the prize money would allow us the opportunity to afford a custom wheelchair for Stephanie who has had the same wheelchair for 13 years, as well as continuing treatments for her disabilities. We'd also love to have an intimate Vow Renewal ceremony and reception in 2027 to celebrate with all of our family and friends as the "Wedding" we didn't have when we eloped in 2022.
