We would like to thank you for supporting Stefan & Johanna in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met as crew members working on a tv show called Sweetbitter in 2017. Stefan does lighting and I do props. We both can’t agree on who spoke to who first because we both feel it was an instant connection, love at first sight, some may say. We also met at the Brooklyn Navy yard where Johanna’s grandparents met working together in the 50’s, so it feels extra special to us. We’ve stayed together through the pandemic and the film strikes and will be married this coming February.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?After two months of dating, we took a trip to Cuba (neither of us speak Spanish) so it was very challenging & down & dirty with each other pretty quick. Our favorite part was riding horses through Vinales, and our guide always yelled Caramello! (His horse’s name). One of the only words we understood, so now we say it all the time to each other. We also drove crammed into cars from the 50’s with strangers across the country. We have now travelled to 18 countries together, & 2 more this summer.
What would you do with $20,000?Make a short film together 😊 or spend it on our wedding in February!
