Connect How did your love story begin?

I came on as a new therapist assistant at a hospital he worked at. He was the Lead PT so we never told a soul until we left our positions. I first fell in love with him when we were documenting and he invited me to take our computers outside on a closed off balcony, we giggled in our rebellious action and he took pictures of us out there without me noticing. As soon as we could be together we married ourselves on a late night outside a church, walking in a fountain and splashing each other.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Since being together we have made it a point to travel and explore with very little planning, our favorite memories are really just only wanting the company of each other. But I would have to say the one that stands out the most endearing is when we stayed with an old friend of Adam who unexpectedly had a mental breakdown while we were staying in his home. Adam and I found a safe place we comforted each other’s fear by doing shadow puppets on a wall in the dark as we tried to fall asleep.

What would you do with $20,000?

As we grow old we know our bodies won’t be able to do the demands of Physical Therapy. We would love to have a nest egg to start our own business where we blend our love of music and baked goods in a using the honor system of payment we’ve seen in rural areas of Hawaii and Japan. A business that honors gift of love and joy where we can share our love of being and working together with our community.
