Connect How did your love story begin?

We went to the same high-school but didn't meet until after we both graduated. James actually reached out to me on Facebook asking for custom artwork and we just never stopped messaging each other. We would text back and forth for hours until we finally met in person. It was extremely difficult for me because I was still hiding the fact that I had alopecia universalis, which started when I was twelve. I was extremely self conscious about it and knew that I couldn't continue without telling him.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of my favorite memories is the second day we moved from our hometown muskegon MI to Chicago. Our move in day was July 3rd. I was 20 years old, everything was still in boxes and so we celebrated the 4th of July by sitting on the floor of our tiny 2nd floor apartment, eating spaghetti and watching fireworks from the window.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use that to find a more permanent place to live instead of paying rent for an apartment. A place where we could have our own washer and dryer and a dishwasher! We have never had a dishwasher. Maybe a small yard for a little garden. Ive been trying to grow strawberries in a pot but im not very good at it. I mean, we would just be in heaven and it would relieve so much stress.
