Connect How did your love story begin?

We sat next to each other in our college class! Simon invited me to be a part of the original musical he had created, and we ended up becoming friends through a common interest in music and performing. Over the next few months we began to get to know each other on a deeper level, which allowed our newly developing feelings to grow. He asked me out during a GCU karaoke night, followed by a duet of “A Million Dreams”. Definitely fitting for a couple of performers!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Some of the best memories we share as a couple is when we get to perform. We love supporting each other as we do what we are passionate about, and there is just something so special about sharing that passion and performing alongside someone else! Some of the moments we’ve felt closest also come from moments of vulnerability, sharing past and current struggles, as well as hopes and dreams we have for the future.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’d put it towards our future, as well as towards our future careers. After 20% going to our church, we would put about 50% of it into savings going towards a ring, wedding, and an apartment. The other 30% would go towards forwarding our business. Simon is the creator of “Savage Simon Productions”, a Christian company with the vision of spreading not only a love for dance and the arts, but for God as well. This is a company that I have a hand in as well, contributing to production management.
